AFRO-PARAGUAY
Afro-Paraguayans are Paraguayans of African descent. The first Africans were brought in 1520’s and slavery was abolished in 1842. They make up 4% of the population with 234,000 Afro-Paraguayans. They can be found in Camba Cua outside Asuncion; Kamba Kokue, and Emboscada. The African influences are: MUSIC AND DANCE- candombe and malambo.
